| A crowd looks at the rubble and remaning personal belongings of the victims of the world's worst train disaster. The Samudra Devi had at least 1500 passengers, many of whom were local residents who ran inland after the first wave and got on the stopped train for protection. They did not know that the next waves would lift the train off the tracks and kill at least 1,000 of its passengers. |
